Executive Bios

Peter J. Bassett – CEO

Peter was named the Company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in Q3 2013. He leads the Company’s Sales & Partnership groups. Prior to joining AdMobius, Peter headed Sales and Ad Operations in North America for InMobi, the world’s second largest mobile ad network. He cut his teeth in mobile advertising as the first head of revenue at Millennial Media, a successful IPO company and early mover in Mobile Advertising. Between those two mobile leadership positions, Peter was COO at Sportgenic, the second largest digital sports network which was acquired by Glam Media. In his media career past, Peter served as Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales and Recruiting Solutions at Community Connect Inc. for six years managing revenue for the leading online niche social networking sites: Blackplanet.com, MiGente.com, Asianave.com, Glee.com and Faithbase.com. Peter developed his business management, sales and marketing careers in the U.S. and overseas through various positions with multinational companies and small technology start-ups. Peter has held divisional and regional sales and marketing positions in technology for more than 30 years, with companies such as Citibank, N.A., Diebold, Inc. and Korn Ferry International.

Bill Tinsley – CFO

Bill has over 25 years of management experience helping small companies across multiple technologies and business models.  Recently, Bill was the CFO of LumaSense Technologies, Inc. where he completed four acquisitions and profitably grew the company from $10m to over $75m in sales.  Prior to that he was the CFO of Storm Ventures where he raised Storm’s first institutional fund and coached early stage entrepreneurs.  Previously, Bill was regional controller for North America and Group Controller for world-wide CVD operations at Applied Materials and was at Syntex Corporation in a number of finance and operating roles including service with Syntex Japan.

Dan Grigorovici – Chief Product Officer

Dan, Founder and previous CEO of AdMobius, is a digital marketing expert with 15 years’ experience leading product, analytics and targeting for digital agencies, online and mobile ad networks. Part of the Quattro Wireless executive team, he continued to lead Analytics, Targeting and Optimization for iAd after its acquisition by Apple. Prior to Quattro, he led the Analytics, Data and Targeting divisions at Rapp/Omnicom, Carat and Digitas, working closely with Fortune 100 advertisers to provide integrated platform solutions that combine audience targeting granularity and scale. He also led data, analytics and targeting product for Tacoda, the first display behavioral targeting ad network, acquired by AOL. Prior to that, he led the analytics team at Fastclick, an online ad network acquired by ValueClick. Dan believes that the current ad experience in mobile is limited and is determined to make it better for everyone. Dan received his B.A. in Philosophy and M.A. in Political Science from University of Bucharest and his Ph.D (ABD) in Communication from Penn State University.

Ray Duong – CTO

Ray, AdMobius Chief Technology Officer, oversees the Engineering and Technical Operations team, helping AdMobius process billions of mobile events a day. As a co-founder, he has architected and engineered large-scale distributed system, scoring, and real-time serving of behavioral profile data for some of the largest Internet companies in Silicon Valley, including Yahoo!, YouTube/Google, and Apple, ShareThis. Ray’s deep advertising experiences in Display Ads, Search Terms, Video Ads, Social Media and Mobile Ads will help define the next generation of Mobile Targeting technology. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Science from Drexel University.

Omar Abdala – Chief Scientist

Omar is Chief Scientist at AdMobius. He is the author of more than 15 technical papers and patents on Statistical Modeling, Inference, Ad Network Optimization, Targeting, and Inventory Management. Before joining AdMobius, Omar was a Data Scientist at Apple, leading the creation of iAd’s targeting database using data assets across the Apple Corporation. Prior to that, he was at Quattro Wireless, one of the first mobile ad networks, where he designed their core technologies in ad inventory management, network optimization and analytics. Omar started his career working on bioinformatics and classification of massive ICU databases for Philips Medical Systems and Philips Research North America. Omar holds a B.S. and M.Eng. in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering from MIT, and is a Ph.D. candidate on leave at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University.
